Technoparticipation: Pixels, Palimpsests and Performative Events published by Peter Lang USA

My book Leap into Action: Critical Performative Pedagogies in Art and Design Education has now been published by Peter Lang USA.

In Chapter Eleven, Technoparticipation: Pixels, Palimpsests and Performative Events (Author: Lee Campbell), I present an innovative way of projecting Google Docs in the classroom so that student written contributions are immediately displayed online and instantly subject to the scrutiny of their peers. Through student engagement in live peer review/assessment of each other’s ideas, exercising varying levels of author anonymity, the activity develops understanding of digital performative events in terms of the differences in communicating via a digital medium and interpersonally, face to face.
